The TNEA counseling is conducted by the Anna University. It is conducted for all colleges in Tamil Nadu, not only for ARM College of Engineering and Technology. The result date for the is usually decided from the TNEA schedule released officially by the Tamil Nadu Government. Generally, results are announced 2-3 months after the process has been started. For example, the process was started on 6th May 2024 and the results were announced on 13th August 2024. In 2025, the process was started on 7th May and the results are expected to be released by 1st week of July.

The basic eligibility criteria for each course require the student to have a minimum of 45% in the previous qualification. Along with this, the student needs to have a minimum valid score in TANCET, TNEA counseling, and GATE exam for admission to MBA, BTech, and MTech, respectively.
