Yes, Bangalore Institute of Management Studies (BIMS) is University Grants Commission approved. Bangalore Institute of Management Studies is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Government of Karnataka. It is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which is a statutory body of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GoI). Therefore, Bangalore Institute of Management Studies is both UGC and AICTE approved.

The University has reserved 40% of seats for children of Agriculturists, and 15% of the seats are reserved for ICAR-NTS. The exact number of seats available for the B.Tech programme at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore is not mentioned. However, the admission to the B.Tech program is based on the merit in the entrance exam conducted by the university. The university also admits foreign students for 5% and NRI students for 10% of the intake.
