Azim Premji University conducts an in-house entrance examination for admission process. For getting into APU, entrance exam is one of the major selection process, the University conducts its own exam which is Azim Premji University National Entrance Test NET. Azim Premji University registration date has been closed for UG & PG 2023 batch. The last date for the submission of registration form was 20th May 2023, and the entrance exam date was 10th June 2023. The eligibility criteria for under-graduation course is 50% in class 12 examination, from any recognised board and for post-graduation the candidate should have bachelor’s degree in any discipline, and selection is based on entrance exam for both UG & PG courses, AMU doesn't accept any national level entrance exam, the University conducts an in- house entrance exam for the selection process.

The B.Tech. programme, which has 23 specialisation options, is VTU's flagship programme. According on the students' JEE Main/KMAT exam results, they are admitted to the B.Tech programme. The university provides a number of additional well-liked courses in addition to B.Tech., including M.Tech., MBA, and MCA, for which VTU has hired a highly qualified faculty of academic staff members. 
VTU offers admission to candidates for its UG and PG programmes based on a variety of factors. For undergraduate programmes, students must pass national entrance exams like KMAT; for graduate programmes, such as M.Tech. and M.Arch., candidates must pass GATE and PGCET with merit marks. In addition, the university administers a Research Entrance Test that serves as the basis for granting admission.
