Yes, you can correspondence after doing your Diploma in ECE. The correspondence is called as AMIE.
The eligibility of AMIE is that you should have a diploma with a minimum aggregate of 45%.
The AMIE advantage is that it is considered equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. The government recently announced this.
So you don't have to worry about the jobs as you will get awesome jobs after you finish the correspondence. However, there is a disadvantage that the entrance exams which ask for 12th marks won't consider diploma students and so AMIE not eligible

I want to let you know that whatever private university you are going take part in, you need to study on your own grounds and hard work. And talking about this course, economics is much of a developing course like technology, which I would have a bet upon. Go on both the websites and compare for infrastructure and facilities which students can avail of.

If you have aim for any further studies then opt for Jain University and if it's autonomous and industry oriented then opt for REVA University.
