If you're comparing M.Sc Chemistry, Banasthali Vidyapith is often preferred for its academic focus and research environment.
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology is also a good choice, especially if you're looking for better infrastructure and industry exposure.
VIT University is decent too, but for pure Chemistry, many students generally lean towards Banasthali or Thapar.
Overall, Banasthali and Thapar are usually the stronger choices for M.Sc Chemistry.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology does consider Class 12 marks for admission in certain B.Tech categories, so yes, it is possible to get admission based on your board percentage if you meet the eligibility criteria.
As for a management quota, Thapar has stated that its B.Tech admissions are merit-based through its approved admission routes. If you're looking for a direct paid seat outside the official process, there isn't an officially advertised management quota. However, there are separate categories like NRI/Foreign National admissions with their own eligibility and fee structure.

As of now, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology hasn't announced the 2026 schedule for B.Tech lateral entry admissions. The dates are usually released on the official admissions portal once the admission process begins.
Keep checking the admissions website regularly, as lateral entry notifications are published there first.

Yes, you can get a CSE seat at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, but it depends on your JEE Main percentile, board marks (if applying through that route), category, and the admission round.
If you share your JEE percentile, board percentage, and category, I can give a better idea of your chances.

Yes , doing B.Tech CSE at Lovely Professional University can feel like a pretty worth while step if you are genuinely serious about building a tech career. The campus mood is lively, also kind of multicultural , because you get students from all over India and even abroad. There are coding clubs that stay active, hackathons that actually matter, lots of technical events, plus internships and those regular industry interactions that keep things real.
About placements, CSE is one of LPU's strongest tracks. From the recent placement signals, there's around 90–95% placement participation among the eligible and interested CSE / IT s

The total spend for B.Tech CSE at LPU seems to depend a lot on which specialization you pick, plus whether you get any scholarship, and also how you handle accommodation… like if you go for hostel or not. As a rough guess, the tuition fee usually lands near ₹1.6 lakh per semester, meaning about ₹3.2 lakh per year, so just tuition comes to roughly ₹12.8 lakh for the full 4 years. On top of that, there are examination fees too and if you choose hostel stay, it's often in the ballpark of ₹80,000 to ₹2 lakh each year, depending on the room category and the facilities you use. So yeah, in general , the overall cost for students

B.Tech CSE at Lovely Professional University is one of those programs that people really look for, mostly because the curriculum is kinda industry-primed, with special tracks in AI & ML, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, and also Full Stack Development. And yeah, the placement setup is also quite strong. LPU mentions 1,500 plus recruiters showing up for CSE related hiring, and the list includes Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture, IBM, and TCS, so students get a decent shot during recruitment. For the 2025 batch, the top CSE package touched ₹64 LPA, and the average package for the upper 10% of CSE

Yes, you can get a direct B.Tech admission at Lovely Professional University if you satisfy the eligibility criteria for that program. In most cases, the selection is driven by your Class 12 results, and a lot of students get admitted straightway, there isn't always a separate admission interview. People also take LPUNEST quite often, mainly for scholarship purposes so it can lower tuition fees, but honestly it's not always compulsory for admission itself.
Also, it's important to note that LPU doesn't accept donation or capitation fees for getting admission. You just need to pay the official university charges, plus any hostel, or exami
