Having said that PCTE has not only prepared us for the outer world but has provided us with great placement opportunities where the maximum package is 10 lacs and the average is 6.5 Lacs with 300+ job offers and more than 130 companies visiting campus every year. Besides this, the college has been ranked the 2nd and 10th Best B-school in the country (IIMs included on the Return on Investment parameter by Outlook Magazine). The same survey ranked us 25th on the parameter of Personality Development. So go ahead with PCTE! You would have a global experience as well with students studying from 42 different nations.

In Punjab, you will find a lot of colleges that provide B.Sc. Fashion Designing. I would personally recommend you to choose a college that would give you practical exposure as fashion designing is a practical oriented programme and requires you to have a proper understanding about the techniques being used in it. I have done my graduation from PCTE Group of Institutes and the college provided me with hands on experience. During my course I visited the fashion designing department where I saw students indulged in making sketches, their creative hands in the designing fascinated me a lot. I also saw a group of students doing graphic designing where they were being taught professional software like coral draw, photoshop and adobe illustrator. Looking at my keen interest the faculty came up and told me that fashion designing is a very creative and technical course and started telling all other interesting things that the students did like construct garments of all segments, pattern making, draping which includes surface ornamentation techniques as well. Besides this, she told that the students would also present their collection on their big day of annual graduating show. So, think of getting into a college that would just not give you a degree but would make you use your creativity and teach you all the technical skills required to be a brilliant fashion designer at the same time that would also provide you job opportunities once you finish your graduation as mine does. The placement records at Thapar university have always been strong. Thapar being in the industry since the last 6 decades have a little edge over some of the colleges present in its Tier. The last 3 batches (B.Tech as I am not sure which placements record you were asking about) have been placed at some of the prominent companies. Some of the companies are there present in the fortune 500 lists as well. Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, Uber, and many more names which include Indian companies like ZEE, Yatra, ZOHO, Mahindra, etc. They all offered quite handsome packages to the students.
