International students must fulfill the basic eligibility by having a minimum aggregate of 55% in the PCM subjects in standard XII or its equivalent, and submit the necessary documents. The VIT Mauritius admission requirements for international students are given below:
- Proof of Age and Nationality through a passport, birth certificate, or any other national ID
- 11th grade Mark sheet /AS Level/ Form V
- 12th grade Mark sheet /A Level/ Form VI
- English language at the high secondary level, or must be from an English-medium school
- Compulsory subjects include Mathematics and Physics
- Third subjects from Chemistry / Computer Sciences / Electron

VIT Mauritius expects a minimum aggregate of 55% in the PCM subjects in standard XII or its equivalent to become eligible for admission. Scoring 75% on the boards can improve the chances of being selected at VIT. The institute also expects students to take the English language at their higher secondary level, or at least belong to an English-medium school. They must take compulsory subjects like Mathematics and Physics with A-level/Form VI/ Senior VI or equivalent. The third subject can be Chemistry if interested in taking B.Tech.

According to an unofficial source, the VIT Mauritius acceptance rate is between 50% and 59%. This shows that the university is moderately tough to get into and follows a holistic approach while selecting candidates for the programs. The university judges students based on their academic records, especially in higher secondary school or equivalent. The average package offered at Sastra University placements 2025 is yet to be released on the official website. The median package offered to UG 3 year students of the batch 2024 was INR 3.8 LPA. For BTech and MTech, it was INR 7.6 and INR 5.5 LPA.
