International students applying to VIT Mauritius do not have to pay an application fee. A minimum of 55% in PCM subjects in standard XII or its equivalent is required of international students to meet the basic eligibility requirements. Additionally, they must submit the required paperwork, which includes their high secondary English language proficiency, their 11th grade mark sheet (AS Level/Form V), their 12th grade mark sheet (A Level/Form VI), and proof of age and nationality in the form of a passport, birth certificate, or other national ID.

Among the most sought-after specializations are Data Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and other disciplines.
