Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering and Technology, or ACCET for short, is a very prominent institute, especially in Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated with Anna University and offers several undergraduate and postgraduate programs in engineering. The quality of academics, faculty, and infrastructure are also highly rated. ACCET also has a good placement record, with many companies that recruit its students being renowned organizations. While not a great institution at the national level, it stands well within its region and is a most popular institution among engineering students who hail from southern India.
