The eligibility criteria required to get admission to Top Engineering colleges in TamilNadu are:
- Students must pass Class 12 with a minimum of 60 percent of aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
- Students must clear the college entrance exam, followed by counseling and seat allotment rounds.
- Admission is also based on merit basis and apart from that some colleges in Tamil Nadu accept scorecards of exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, TNEA, VITEEE, etc., for BTech admissions.

The TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) result dates for St. Michael College of Engineering and Technology in 2025 are tentatively scheduled for June 2025.
