Undergraduate Course Requirements

  • Academic transcripts from the graduating high school
  • SAT / ACT scores
  • Secondary school report / counsellor recommendation
  • Teacher / other Letter of Recommendation
  • English language proficiency score

Graduate Course Requirements

  • Note that a 3-year bachelor's degree is not equivalent to the U.S. bachelor's degree

The University of Georgia application fee is USD 85 (Around 7,000) for first-year international applicants. On the other hand, the application fee for graduate international applicants is USD 100 (Around 8,000). The first-year international applicants can apply to UGA via Common Application, whereas, the graduate applicants can apply via the application portal of the university. Make sure to submit the required documents as well.

Yes, international students taking admission to the University of Georgia need to submit the English language proficiency score. For this purpose, the university accepts IELTS scores. The University of Georgia TOEFL requirement can also be checked from below: 

Undergraduate Scores

If the applicants’ SAT English scores are below 480 or ACT English score is below 17, then they can submit the following:

  • IELTS: 6.5 or higher OR
  • TOEFL: 80 or higher

Graduate Scores

  • Minimum TOEFL requirement: Overall score of 80 with at least 20 on Speaking and Writing

The University of Georgia GRE requirements vary as per the programs at the University of Georgia. So, it is advised to check with the requirements of the program.
