It may be difficult to get into Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences' (AITS) B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) program with a rank of 58,880 in JEE Main. The closing ranks for this program in 2024 were between 30,658 and 96,147.

You are on the lower end of this scale for your rank, so admission is likely but not certain.

With a rank of 383,122 in CRL and a rank of 24,000 in SC, it is tough to get admitted to the premier NITs or IITs for B.Tech in CSE as the cutoff of these colleges usually is much lesser. You may, however, opt for lower NITs, IIITs, or private institutions that provide quality infrastructure and education in Computer Science Engineering. A few private universities such as Chandigarh University, UPES Dehradun, and Shiv Nadar University might provide admission within your fee bracket of INR 4-5 Lacs annually. Have a look at their respective counseling websites and admission procedures for further details.

With a CRL of 1,34,280 and an OBC rank of 44,182, it is very unlikely that you will be admitted to Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at NIT Allahabad (MNNIT). Based on past year cutoffs, the OBC closing rank of CSE in MNNIT Allahabad would usually be less than 2,000 in home state quota and approximately 1,000–1,500 for candidates from other states. You could still have some hope in less sought-after streams such as Civil, Biotechnology, or Mechanical Engineering. For better prospects, look at other NITs, IIITs, or state engineering colleges. Look at JoSAA counseling for options available according to your rank.

You can still acquire admission to private universities, state engineering colleges and lower-tier GFTIs with a JEE Mains rank of 2,18,000 but it is improbable that you would receive a CSE in a top NIT, IIIT, or GFTI. Among the choices are:

State Government Colleges: For JEE-qualified applicants, colleges in states such as Maharashtra, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, or Uttar Pradesh offer their own counseling.
Private universities that offer CSE programs based on JEE Mains scores include Sharda University, Amity University, Manipal University, SRM University, and UPES Dehradun.
GFTIs: In subsequent rounds, seats may become available at certa

Since the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department within Pondicherry University is the most sought after and most frequently tends to hold upper cutoffs, admission could be difficult with a JEE Mains rank of 95,000. Category (General, OBC, SC/ST, etc.) and competition in the year for your application, however, will determine your realistic possibilities.

Having AIR of 604,826 and SC category rank of 45,093 in JEE Mains, Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or any specialisation in NIT, IIIT, or GFTI seat cannot be attained. Cut-offs for CSE in top NITs and IIITs are usually well below this rank, and it is highly competitive. But you may have chances in some lower or newer IIITs, NITs or GFTIs in other streams of engineering. You should have choices to consider other courses or state-level engineering colleges, private institutes, or alternate options like management quota seats to have better probability. Keep looking at the JoSAA counseling rounds for any update.

Fee structure for B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering at RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, varies depending on the category of admission. For candidates in the management quota the fee is typically slightly more at INR 2.5 to 3 Lacs per year. For candidates on the Karnataka CET or COMEDK basis, the fee is less but typically between INR 1.5 and 2 Lacs per year. The whole course cost for the entire B.Tech course can therefore range from INR 6 to 12 Lacs One can consider checking the official website or visit the college to get the most accurate and up-to-date fee details as the fees change annually.

By 2028, CSE (Computer Science Engineering) will have more scope than ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) due to the rapid growth of AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity and software development. The technology industry is transforming fast with increasing need for AI/ML engineers, data scientists, cloud architects and cybersecurity professionals.

However, ECE will never become obsolete, especially in areas like chip design, VLSI, IoT, and telecommunication (5G/6G). The semiconductor industry is booming, and electronics engineers will be required for hardware developments.

If you like core software areas, CSE would be the right
