Hello,
Usually, MCA duration is 3 year. But, the time being universities offer two types MCA. One is MCA-LE (lateral entry programme) it is for those students which are having BCA B.Sc-IT or other degree like these two. If any student have professional graduation in computer or IT they all are eligible for MCA-LE programme. Students directly take admission in second year. So, MCA LE programme is for 2 years. For other students those are non-technical background select MCA general. The duration of this course is 3 year. So, if you have IT degree, you can directly take admission in 2nd year. Hope this answer will helps you.
