You may try for some short term courses related to IT feild like cloud computing, cyber security, LAN man and wan networking etc. This training doesn't requires too much time you may only spend 2 -4 hours in this training.

You can apply to wide range of universities, your graduation percentage is good, but not your GRE. So, you can apply for both some competitive and medium ranked universities. It is quite difficult to suggest names, because the universities have different selectivity criteria and depends on the student profile. Moreover, you did not specify your field of study. Check state universities like Colorado State University, Kansas State University, Pittsburgh State University etc.
