Yes, an online Computer Science programme carries the same academic value and repuatation as the one delivered on-campus. The degree, diploma, and transcripts show no difference between the two formats.
The experience is different for both. The on-campus programme allows for more in-person networking and faculty interaction. The online programme is better for working professionals short on time.

No, students with a 3-year UG degree from outside NIU cannot obtain an NIU degree by completing only 1 year at the university.
They'all also have to meet the conditions below:
- Complete 1.5 to 2 years of coursework
- Any other requirement specific to the academic department
