NID:
NID doesn't have mushroom-like branches and centers. There are only 3 centers - Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Bengaluru. The latest one is at Vijayawada. Unlike NIFT, NID doesn't offer the same design discipline/subject at their different branches, so there are no overlaps. All the centers have specific design disciplines. For e. g Textile Design Programme is conducted only at the Heritage Campus, at Paldi, Ahmedabad and the other two centers don't have Textile Design in their curriculum. Similarly, Photography Design discipline exists only at the Gandhinagar campus and not at the others. So the question you have asked doesn't hold any ground in this case. You get to opt for the Design Programme but not the Campus/Centre.

B. Des. in Knitwear Design B. Des.is a 3-year undergraduate academic arts-centered program. It is much like a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree, and many of the subjects are same across both courses.
The course is offered at a rather few colleges in the country, such as:

The basic eligibility criterion for pursuing the course is a 10+2 or equivalent qualification in any stream from a recognized educational Board.
Admission to the course is based on the candidates performance in a relevant entrance exam, or merit obtained in the last qualifying exam.
The average tuition fee charged for the course in India ranges between INR 1 to 2 Lacs for a span of 3 years.
