Maximum Age: 23 years, as on 1st October, 2017.
The upper age limit will be relaxed by a period of 5 ( five ) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribe / Differently Able Person ( PHP ) subject to following qualifications.B.Des- The +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognised Central / State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.Or,
General Certificate Education (GCE ) Examination ( London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka ) at the Advanced (A) level / International Baccalaureate ( IB ). Or, (Fashion Design / Leather Design / Accessory Design / Textile Design / Knitwear Design / Fashion Communication).

If you are obsessed with decorating the house, rearranging furniture or come up with creative ideas to change the look of your house, as well as utilize space at your place at an optimum level, then I will encourage you to look at this field. Interior designer can work with an organisation or freelance to help clients in designing and decorating their homes & offices. If you wish to enter this field you should be creatively inclined, have an eye for detail, and bespatially inclined (Individual with a high aptitude for identifying 2-D/ 3-D structures which are a prerequisite for a career in designing). To pursue your Bachelors/ Masters in Interior Designing you will have to undergo entrance exam conducted by various institutions. In the entrance exam, you will be assessed on design aptitude, perception, logical reasoning, general proficiency, etc. Written exam is followed by personal interview. (In some universities, you will also be required to showcase your portfolio).
