Please note my answer is not specific to any particular course. This is what I have experienced. If you are going to pursue higher studies just for the sake of getting a good package, then stop right there because it will never help unless you are good at your subject and if you are so good in your subject then you are already a master, you don't need a degree to prove it. It would be another case if you are changing your field like you are planning to do MBA and are not from commerce background. In that case, doing Masters can help you. Also, it is very much required to do a very clear research on the job where you want to land up

What specifically you want to know about NIFT? It's a government college with 15 centers all over India which are - New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Gandhinagar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Patna, kangra, Bhopal, kannur, Raebrareli, Jodhpur, Shillong, Srinagar . NIFT syllabus pattern is same as of FIT, New York. It's the best option for fashion designing in India and second best in terms of design after NID. Following are the programmes offered by NIFT:
1 - B.DES - fashion designing ( FD )- textile designing ( TD )- accessory designing ( AD )- leather designing ( LD )- fashion communication ( FC )- Knitwear designing ( KD )
