Yes, you can, if you have completed class 10th. Eligibility Criteria for taking admission through lateral entry is:
Pass with 50% aggregate marks in class 10th, subject to qualifying entrance exam. Some institutes give direct admission to students on the basis of their marks in class 10th. You can do Diploma in:
Electrical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Computer Science Engineering
IT Engineering
IC Engineering
EC Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

You can take admission for B.Tech through lateral entry. Diploma holders in any stream are eligible to take admission, in the second year of the course. They must have done their Diploma after class 10th (3 year) with min 50% or after class 12th (2 year) and they need to qualify LEET. Various engineering colleges in India also offer direct admission to Diploma holders in second year of the course and in reputed institutes, after completing Diploma student gets entry in second year of B.Tech through LEET. 1. Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Exam):
Pass with 50% aggregate marks in ITI (in Technical field). Pursue 1 year/ 2 years Certificate course after class 10th or 2 years Diploma from SLIET or 10+2 Vocational (in Technical field) or 10+2 (Non-Medical) or equivalent from any recognized Board/ Council.
2. Admission Criteria
Merit in qualifying examination.
