It's okay to realise what one likes and make adjustments. However, you can join non engineering graduation only if you have done 12th. Of course, if your state has recognised Diploma as equivalent to 12th then also it's okay. Your present college can confirm this. I would strongly advise you to take up that course in which you have passion.

Yes, it can be possible if you appear for any national and state level engineering exams. Clear them then you will be able to choose chemical engineering.
