Career in IAF as a pilot is very challenging and rewarding one. After selection one is trained either as a Fighter pilot, or a Helicopter pilot, or a Transport pilot and are a part of various peace and wartime missions.
As a graduate, you can enter into the Flying branch of Air Force through the Air Force Academy. It is one of the most prestigious training establishments of the Indian Air Force.
Eligibility for IAF Pilots Exam:
Age limit for IAF Pilots Exam: 19 to 23 years on the 1st of the month of commencement of the course.
IAF Pilot Educational Qualification:
B.Sc. (Physics / Maths) 3 years or B.E. 4 years or B.Sc. (General) 3 years with Physics and Maths. The candidate should not have failed INS-B / PAB Test earlier. Should not have been suspended in Flying Training earlier.
IAF Pilot Physical Eligibility for Male:
Height: 162.5 cms.
Leg Length: Not less than 99 cms and not more than 128 cms.
Chest: Fully expanded chest should not be less than 82 cms with 5 cms expansion.
Physical Eligibility for IAF Pilot Female:
Height: 162.5 cms.
Leg Length: Between 99 cms and 120 cms.
The candidates who wear glasses habitually or are colour / night blind are not eligible and hence need not apply.

Most of the universities in India that have a department of archaeology offer this subject at the post-graduation level and beyond it. In this regard, the first step towards becoming a successful archaeologist is to obtain a graduate degree. This could be in any discipline. However, it is preferable to have a Bachelors degree in history, sociology, or anthropology for a better understanding of the concepts of archaeology. Further, it is advisable to check with the concerned university what all Bachelors degrees are acceptable for taking up a postgraduate course in archaeology.
However, universities like the Maharaj Sayajirao University of Baroda, offers a three years Bachelors degree in Indian History, Culture and Archaeology. Similarly, the Banaras Hindu University, offers two undergraduate courses in this field: a three years honours program in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology and a three years vocational program in Museology and Archaeology.
The Institute of Archaeology under the aegis of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), New Delhi, conducts a two year Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology. The eligibility of entry to this program includes a Masters degree in Ancient or Medieval Indian History, Anthropology, or Archaeology form a recognized university. Students holding a Masters degree in classical languages or geology can also apply for this program.
