Technical courses are not allowed by AICTE to pursue through correspondence or distance. Think this yourself, how much of a good engineer will be if he studied from home and has no practical knowledge? So, to answer your question, no.

Not every distance college is registered under DDE/UGC. Some colleges give away degrees, but not certified from Indian Education Boards which will not be valid at any walk of life. Yes many distance universities in India are real and working over decades in India. These universities distance degree are valid throughout the world. Before selecting your future college for distance it is always good to do some research about it. That will help you decide the best and right one for your career building.

No. ME is not offered through distance by any University in India. You can do part time or evening classes at best. Amity certainly does not offer any engineering programme through distance education.

Have you seen any engineer that studied at home and became successful? What is the need for such colleges if one can pursue a BE from home? Would you be able to learn and conduct practicals at home? Short Answer, YOU CAN NOT. The best option for you is to pursue a regular B.Tech/B.E. From a recognised college after taking admission through lateral entry.

You can pursue evening classes to complete your graduation in engineering. There are various colleges that provide such courses for working professionals. Don't opt for Distance or Correspondence courses in Engineering. They don't have AICTEs approval.
