DCET exam duration is 3 hours. But students also get additional 25 minutes to fill in all the details. In this time, students have to read through the instructions, solve the questions, and mark their answers on the OMR sheets.

The Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET), is a lateral entry scheme conducted in Karnataka. Meaning the entrance exam is held for lateral entry at colleges in Karnataka. The entrance test is a gateway for admissions to 2nd-year undergraduate engineering programmes and 1st-year undergraduate architecture programmes offered under the lateral entry scheme. The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) releases a notification announcing the DCET application process, important date, eligibility criteria, and other relevant information in the official website.

There is no negative marking in DCET examination for any incorrect and unattempted questions. The maximum marks in DCET are 100 marks and candidates get 1 mark for every correct answer.

DCET 2024 result was announced on June 29, 2024 on the official website. The result can be checked on the official website. The link to check the result is also updated on this page.  The candidates should keep checking DCET result page to get immediate update on results.

DCET is an entrance exam held for admissions into the 2nd-year undergraduate engineering programmes and 1st-year undergraduate architecture programmes offered under the lateral entry scheme. DCET is Diploma Common Entrance Test which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). These programmes are offered at day and evening engineering colleges located in Karnataka. Candidates must have passed a Diploma or equivalent exam to appear for DCET. DCET 2024 will be conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority in September 2024, tentatively.
