JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria:
Students should have been born after 1st October 1997. 5 years of age relaxation is given to Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, and PwD candidates, I. e, these students should have been born after 1st October 1992. A student can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of 2 times in 2 consecutive years. Students who passed class 10+2 in 2021 or 2023 are eligible for JEE Advanced. Students who appeared in class 10+2 or equivalent examination for the first time in 2020 or 2021 and successfully registered for JEE Advanced 2021 but did not appear in any of the papers can apply for JEE Advanced 2023. Such students do not have to fit into any other criteria. The students who have passed class 10+2 or equivalent in 2020 should have appeared for JEE Advanced only once, either in 2020 or 2021. If you're talking about the B.Tech programme, there's no direct management quota for admission in VIT. You need to appear in the VITEEE entrance exam to get admission. There are four categories based on rank scored in the VITEEE with category one having the lowest fee and category four having the highest fee. You are admitted to various VIT campuses based on your rank; for example, if your rank is less than 80,000, you can easily get into VIT Vellore. There are certain courses for which you do not need to appear in the entrance exam, but at the Vellore Campus, the selection is based on merit for almost all courses like B.Sc. BCA etc. There may be direct admission for vacant seats after normal counseling is over at the Bhopal or Amravati campuses, but even for this, you have to appear for VITEEE.
