Candidates who are appearing for the GATE exam must carry a valid ID proof along with a passport-size photograph, transperant water bottle, and pen (blue or black) along with GATE 2026 hall ticket. We advise to carry atleast two to three copies of admit card to the centre.

Candidates must provide their enrollment ID and password (created at the time of registration) to download their GATE admit card. The admit card will be made available on the GOAPS portal at the GATE candidate login. The GATE 2026 hall ticket release date has been postponed. Revised schedule for hall ticket will be available soon.

Well,

As such, the GATE authorities have not mentioned anything regarding the black and white or colour printout of the GATE admit card to be carried or not. But it is better to carry a colour printout of the hall ticket to the exam centre Also, the admit card of GATE must be in A4 size format.

Yes, it is compulsory to download GATE hall ticket. It is because, the admit card of GATE carries complete information regarding applicant and exam. Some important information are paper code, exam date and time, name, signature, photograph, etc. Also, it is mandatory to carry hall ticket to centre. Candidates are advised to keep their admit card safe till the admission counselling process.

Check below the common eligibility criteria for admission to the top WBJEE colleges for BTech in West Bengal:

Candidates must have earned a passing grade in PCM in the Class 12 exam with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognised board.
For admissions, candidates must take standard entrance exams like WBJEE, and other university-specific entrance exams in addition to their Class 12 results.
The process of admission is carried out by online counseling where students are allotted seats based on their score/rank in the exam through which the institute offers admission.
