While securing a seat in top NITs and IIITs is difficult, you may have a chance at some GFTIs (Government Funded Technical Institutes) or reputed state-level government colleges for less popular branches like Civil or Mechanical Engineering. For top branches like CSE, you should consider private engineering colleges.

Your Chances at YMCA Faridabad for B.Tech CSE under EWS Home?State Quota:
Cutoff ranks for B.Tech Computer Engineering (CSE) under Haryana Home State quota, EWS category historically fall within approximately General?HS: 12,200–30,700, and All?India?EWS close at around ~91,000 CRL
Your CRL rank is 67,582, and though you're EWS category, Home?State EWS cutoff for CSE in past years closed around 30,000 rank
Your EWS rank (9,861) is good—but cutoffs are determined by CRL rank under home?state quotas.
Therefore, your CRL rank (67?k) is significantly lower than recent closing thresholds for EWS-Haryana in CSE (~30?k?31?k). Admission for CSE

2024 EWS cutoff percentile for CSE at MBM Jodhpur was approximately 81.00
General category cutoffs in recent years ranged between 85 – 90 for CSE
Since you're above the EWS cutoff but fall below the general—though in a borderline territory—your percentile is promising.
Expected general-category closing rank for CSE at MBM during REAP is estimated roughly between 10,000 – 30,000.

Yes, you can. If you have selected the wrong gender or category in the GATE application form 2026, then you can change it during the GATE application form correction window. The correction facility will be available at the GOAPS portal after the completion of the GATE registration.
To fix this, candidates need to pay an additional amount through netbanking/credit card/debit card/UPI. Always review the confirmation page before final submission to avoid such mistakes.
