Hello Tarun Shriram, I must say that you have obtained reasonably good percentile but unfortunately it's not enough to get you above cutoff. Last year cutoff for OBC was above 72 percentile. In view of this I would like to advise you to prepare well for the next session of JEE Mains and aim for getting 80 percentile or above. Best wishes to you.

CSE branch is like hot cake. Every ranker mostly wants to join CSE. If they got high rank also they will get in to low rank colleges for CSE branch. Up to last year level minimum requirement is 96-99 percentile and it varies. If you have any EWC Certificate then you can get with 93 percentile also.

MIT Muzaffarpur is situated in Muzaffarpur and they Conducting M.Tech Courses through GATE Exam score. The total number of 36 seats are available in M.Tech. (Machine Design) and M. Tech. (Thermal Engineering) at M.I.T., Muzaffarpur. Thermal Engineering 18 Seats are available and Machine design 18 Seats are available in M. Tech. The GATE scores above 500 can be safe here for M.Tech admission. So yours chances of getting admission here are moderate.

Yes you can get admission in M.Tech without GATE in IITs. For admission to M.Tech programmes, candidates with B.Tech. From IITs, graduating with a CGPA of 8.00 or above, are exempted from qualifying GATE. If shortlisted, they will be interviewed through video conferencing.
