Engineering Entrance Exam

The JEE Advanced eligibility criteria of 10+2 students are given below.
1. Candidates should have compulsorily passed JEE Main 2021 (Paper 1). It is also necessary for them to be among the top 2,50,000 candidates.
2. Age : For JEE Advanced 2021, the candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1996. However, SC, ST and PwD candidates will get a relaxation of 5 years (born on or after October 1, 1991).
3. JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2021 for marks : The eligibility criteria of minimum 75% marks in class 12 has been waived off for JEE Advanced 2021 due to covid pandemic. In normal situations, for admissions into IITs, the candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:
Minimum 75% aggregate marks should have been secured in 12th standard (or equivalent) examination. For the SC/ST/PwD category, the aggregate marks is minimum 65%. Further the UG admissions in IITs for courses like B.Tech, Dual degree and Integrated M.Tech are made through the ranks obtained in JEE Advanced.

No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50 percent aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also at least 50 per cent. Marks (45 per cent marks for reserved category) in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate. The candidate needs to qualify an Aptitude Test in Architecture conducted by the Council complying with the Admission Norms, which is the National Aptitude Test in Architecture NATA or JEE Paper 2, varying from college to college.
