Hello,
There are 3 attempts for JEE main and 2 attempts for JEE Advanced. So, you may appear for the JEE Mains for the second time while doing a Bachelor's degree. But, you may have to discontinue your b.tech if you get a good NIT in JEE Mains.
Since, JEE Mains and advanced exams are conducted only once in a year, you can appear the next year only.

Hello Bala,
You may not get an NIT with your all India rank of 13658. You may get a seat at an NIT with your home state rank.
You may also refer below:
http://josaa.nic.in/Result/result/OpeningClosingRank.aspx
Since, your home state is Tamil Nadu, you can get home state ranks for NIT Trichy only. But, you cannot get a seat at NIT-Trichy with this rank.

Hello Naveen,
You must be among the top 20 % (rankers) students of the respective board in which you are giving board exam.
Let's say, 100 students are there then you should in in top 20.
Then only, you'll be able to write JEE Advanced.
It also means the top 20% of candidates that qualified the exam.
Thus you will be eligible for selection only if you are among the top 20 % students of your respective board.
Percentile = no. of student have marks lesser than you / total no. of students appeared in the exam X 100
Your percentile should be >= 80 or you should have have your board percentage greater than or equal to 75%

Heelo Pranaya,
One can enroll and appear for the exam as many times as they want.
This is one more fact which gives a sense of relief to all of us that there is no restriction on the number of GATE attempts on the basis of caste. An aspirant belonging to any category, be it SC, ST, OBC or General can enroll and appear as many times as they desire. There are even many lecturers/professors who appear in GATE exam to keep their knowledge/skills updated.
few points need to be taken into account by GATE aspirants:
1)Aspirants, applying for concerned exam may apply at any age as there is no age bar for appearing in the GATE
2)Till GATE 2014 perce
