It totally depends on you that how much you can do hard work in the upcoming year and how much interest you have in PCM. If you will work hard then definitely, you will get good marks but if you will not work hard you will lose one important year. If you can avoid social sites like Facebook and travelling to adventurous places and can study for atleast 9 hours a day continuously for one year and can study well. Then, try but if you can not do these things then think twice. Also, consult your teachers about this because your teachers know you well and if you decide to drop then take a coaching institution and if you think not to drop th

Well, actually getting good grades in college does not mean you have to work hard, but it definitely means that you have to put-in smart work instead of hard work. Besides, college life is totally different in the terms that you get out and learn what real life is.! Unfortunately no. Anna University does not intake students through JEE and only 9 students from northern territory and 9 from west territory. So, compared to your marks, 84% in Gujarat Board is not enough.

In my opinion, you can go to any of your branch related courses so that you can save some time after your B.Tech. If you aim at civil services, you can go for coaching and you can start your GATE preparation from Second semester onwards.
