This year's listings are yet to be declared but if the cut-off for general candidates to be promoted to the Adv. is 81 then The minimum score would be definitely around 100-110 (it's just an approximation).

It is a dream of each and every engineering aspirant to get IIT.
The first step is to have a good score in JEE mains examination.
First of you need to know the syllabus of JEE exam completely. It is basically the NCERT syllabus of class 11&12.
Then focus on the concept clarity. You need to be clear with all the concepts.
After that solve as many problems as you can and try to increase the speed and accuracy as they are the very important parameters for all engineering entrance exams.

Since your rank is 42072 , you will be called for counseling but it is not sure that you will get admission. If you get , you will be placed only in category 3,4 or 5 only.
So attend the counseling and you will know exactly which category you can get but there are less chances only to get category 1 or 2.
