With a JEE Mains rank of 5 lakh, entry into good NITs or IITs is really impossible, especially for competitive streams. But still, you can choose to take good private and semi-government colleges:
1. Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida – Offers good B.Tech courses with acceptable placement figures.
2. UPES Dehradun – Known for engineering and technology courses, offering exposure to the industry
3. Chandigarh University Provides various engineering courses with good campus placement
4. Manipal University Jaipur - For its B.Tech programs and campus infrastructure
5. VIT Bhopal For its quality education and placement in various fields of

With a CRL (Common Rank List) of 858,390 and an OBC (Other Backward Classes) rank of 332,295 in JEE Mains, admission to a government college for a B.Tech in Information Technology (IT) is not feasible. Historically, cutoffs for government colleges are way lower, especially for popular branches like IT, and can ask for much higher ranks.
But cutoff ranks vary every year based on available seats, reservation in the category, and number of applicants. Look for the latest cutoff information on the official website of JEE Mains counseling (JoSAA) and visit private college as well.

With a 91.22% percentile and an open-EWS rank of 21974 in JEE Mains, you might be able to secure admission to a good engineering college in Maharashtra, but likely not one of the absolute top-ranked institutions like IIT Bombay or ICT Mumbai; you may be able to get into a reputed private college or a lower-ranked government college depending on your branch preference and the specific cutoff for the college and course you choose.

Securing direct admission to IITs is improbable with a 12th-grade PCM score of 81% and a SC preparation rank of 4203 in JEE Advanced 2024, as this rank normally falls above the cutoff for SC category seats. However if you don't meet the regular cutoffs, you can be eligible for a one-year preparatory course that IITs give to SC, ST and PwD candidates. Students can be admitted to the following academic year after successfully completing this course. To investigate your alternatives you must take part in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority's (JoSAA) counseling procedure.
