No, there is no percentile marks. The marks in JEE Advanced result is the raw marks scored by the candidates. The marks are simply calculated using the making scheme of the exam and is totalled to get the aggregate marks scored by the candidates. This marks form the basis of the JEE Advanced ranks.

Yes. Initially the JEE Advanced cutoff is released with the information brochure of the exam. However, the cutoff is usually revised and published again with the JEE Advanced result.

Yes. However, candidates must also have minimum of 75% marks in class 12 boards in minimum of five subjects (SC, ST and PwD candidates should have at least 65%) for IIT admissions.

The JEE Advanced rank list is prepared based on the aggregate marks in JEE Advanced. Aggregate marks is the total marks secured by the candidaes in the JEE Advanced paper 1 and paper 2 together.

The JEE Advanced result is announced on the offcial website of JEE Advanced - jeeadv.ac.in under the respective logins of the candidates. Text messages are also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers.

If a question is wrong in the JEE Advanced exam, then one of the following steps is taken by the examination authority:

  1. Sometimes marks are awarded only to those students who had attempted the question weather right or wrong.
  2. Sometimes the wrong questions are totally rejected from question paper and marks and ranking given on the remaining right questions.
  3. Sometimes marks are given to all students weather they attempted the question or not.

It is not always the same. Thus one cannot determine before hand whether everyone gets marks or only those who attempted that question will get the marks.

Yes, SRM accepts admission in M.Tech without GATE entrance examination, however, instead of GATE, one needs to appear in the SRMJEE (PG) examination for pursuing M.Tech in SRM Kattankulathur and TANCET or SRMJEE (PG) examination for SRM Ramapuram. You can choose between both the examination, depending upon your choice of campus and exam.

Candidates must have scored atleast 50 percent aggregate in their bachelor's degree with mathematics and physics as compulsary subjects. 

Admissions are accepted through online mode only.

IIT Roorkee will release the official JEE Advanced 2026 answer keys in May 2026, a few days after the exam. The candidates can challenge the JEE Advanced provisional answer keys online under their logins. The final answer key, along with the result, will be out in June 2026.
