Candidates will be able to appear for just Paper 1 of WBJEE. However, these candidates will not be allotted ranks for admission by the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are advised to attempt both papers of WBJEE - Paper 1 (Mathematics) and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry). The authorities will conduct WBJEE paper as a computer-based test.

No, JEE Main is not neccessary for admission to BE at Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE for BE admission. The WBJEE Cutoff 2024 was released for Jadavpur University. The Cutoff was released category-wise for AI and HS quota candidates. Candidates can find the course-wise closing cutoff ranks for the General AI category candidates in the table below:

NIT Andhra Pradesh admission to BTech courses are conducted through JEE Main. The Admission to different courses is conducted by national-level entrance tests like JEE Main, GATE, and so on. Final seat distribution is carried out via CCMN, CCMT, and other counselling sessions. Only JEE Main results are accepted by NIT Andhra Pradesh for admission to its BTech programme. As a result, individuals can apply to NIT Andhra Pradesh for admission to a variety of programs, except for BTech, without taking the JEE Mains.

NIT Kurukshetra has concluded its cutoff seat allotment rounds with the release of Round 6 cutoffs. NIT Kurukshetra cutoff 2024 spanned from 350 to 523 for General AI category candidates. NIT Kurukshetra has offered two design related courses: M.Tech. in Machine Design and M.Tech. in VLSI Design. As per the NIT Kurukshetra MTech cutoff 2024, the Last Round score for MTech in Machine Design and MTech in VLSI Design concluded at 372 and 494. The GATE questions are designed to test the following abilities-
- Recall - These type of questions are based on the facts, principles, formulae, or laws in the discipline of the paper. The candidates are expected to be able to obtain the answer either from the memory of the subject or atmost from a one-line computation.
- Comprehension - These questions will test candidate's understanding on the basics of their field, by requiring them to draw simple conclusions from fundamental ideas.
- Applications - In this type of questions, candidates must apply their knowledge either through computation or by logical reasoning.

Candidates can apply for GATE two-paper combinations while filling out the application form at the GOAPS portal. Candidates can also add second paper of their choice after submitting the GATE application form. To add the second paper, candidates have to login using their enrollment ID and password and select the test paper for which they wish to apply.

The GATE paper with codes - AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, ST, XH, and XL have questions from the following-
- 15% of the total marks will be distributed to the General Aptitude Section.
- and 85% of the total marks will carry subject-specific questions.
For an incorrect answer in the MCQ section, there will be negative marking. For a one-mark question, 1/3 mark will be deducted and for a two-mark question, 2/3 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer. On the other hand, there is no negative marking for the numercial-based and multiple select questions. Also, there is no partial marking for the Multiple-Select questions.

The GATE Question Paper will be in English language with a test duration of three hours. The paper is divided into two sections - General Aptitude (GA) and Candidate's Selected Subjects, comprising of questions in the following format -
- Candidate's Selected Subjects (S)
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
- or Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT)
