Scoring 94 percentile in JEE Main, admission to an NIT (National Institute of Technology) can be tough and that too for popular branches Computer Science where the cut-off closes within top ranks. As a general rule, NITs have had cutoff ranks in the region of 10k to 20 k for various branches. The rank corresponding to a 94 percentile can be around here depending on the year and branch. However, for branches less competitive or NITs having lower cutoff ranks you may have a chance. One should refer to individual NIT cutoffs for the year.

No, you cannot take admission for B.Tech at Government Engineering College without JEE. The eligibility criteria to take admission in B.Tech is 45% in 12th and score of JEE mains. The cutoff for this institute is also prepared by REAP, based on the JEE Mains score. So for that also, you need to appear in the JEE Mains exam only. So there is no other way out, other than JEE mains. Admissions for 2024 have already completed, if you want to take admission, you can apply for 2025 JEE.
