No, Physical calculators are not allowed during the GATE examination.
Candidates will be provided with an on-screen virtual scientific calculator during the online GATE examination. Candidates must know that any kind of electronic gadget is prohibited on the exam premises. GATE Calculator is a specially designed virtual calculator that is provided during the GATE examination to help candidates with their complex calculations.

Yes, Candidates will be given a correction window to change/ modify the already filled details in GATE application form. As per the GATE 2026 official notification, the last date to apply is November 6. The form correction window mainly remains open for three days.
Candidates can change the subjects for an additional fee during the correction window. They can add or change the second paper only once. Candidates will not be able to edit any details after the correction window is closed. The final details will be printed on the admit card.

Candidates are given free choice to choose the GATE papers, however candidates should choose the papers which align with the qualifying degree. E.g; If a candidate have done B.Tech. in Civil Engineering he/she should choose CE GATE paper. Candidates are advised to check the GATE two-paper combination options while opting for second paper choice.

No, A candidate needs to have a minimum bachelor's degree in engineering/ science/ arts/ Humanities. to appear for GATE exam. Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) is an entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses.

It is unlikely that you can get admission to VJTI Mumbai for a B.Tech programme with just a 75 percentile in JEE Main. The cutoffs for VJTI are quite high, typically ranging from 94.58 to 99.94 percentile in the MHT CET exam.
Admission to VJTI's B.Tech programs is based on the MHT CET exam, not JEE Main. The MHT CET cutoffs for VJTI's B.Tech programs are extremely competitive, with the lowest cutoff being around 94.58 percentile for Textile Technology and the highest around 99.94 percentile for Electrical Engineering.

Dibrugarh University accepts the exam scores of two entance exams for admitting students to its BTech programmes. These exams are JEE (Main) and Assam CEE (Engineering). A candidate with a valid score in any one of the two mentioned exam is eligible for admission to the BTech programmes of Dibrugarh University. However, candidates applying with Assam CEE scores must have the permanent residence certificate of Assam. Hence, JEE (Main) becomes mandatory for the applicants who do not have a permanent residence certificate of Assam.

As per the admission guidelines of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, admission to the four-years BE/BTech course is based on the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology or SAEEE. However, candidates must make sure to qualify for the BE/BTech eligibility criteria before applying for the course. Therefore, Sathyabama doesn't accepts JEE Main for BTech.
