I would say, focus on JEE Advanced. If you have scored 97.1 percentile, then you have a real chance of being into IITs if you prepare well and strategically. There is a big difference between IITs and NITs. Even though top NITs are comparable to some of the IITs but still IIT is at different level. No, you cannot apply for DTU LEET (Delhi Technological University Lateral Entry Entrance Test) after completing your Diploma course from a non-AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) Polytechnic college.
Here's why:
- DTU LEET Eligibility Criteria: The official DTU LEET information brochure explicitly states that candidates applying through the lateral entry scheme must have completed a three-year Diploma programme in Engineering or Technology from a recognised institution affiliated to AICTE. You can find this information on the official DTU website.

But one must thing is that you’ll have to study mathematics in B.Tech in 4 semesters i.e. up to 2nd year (in every branch) and in CSE, you’ll study discrete mathematics alongside simple maths. And for that, you have to clear your concepts of XI-XII mathematics. If you are really interested in computer science, then, another option
