Biomedical Engineering combines the engineering principles with the principles of Biology and Medicine. Biomedical engineering is an emerging field of study in India. 1. Eligibility criteria for Biomedical Engineering:
The candidate must have passed 10+2 with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects. There is a requirement of 50% marks in 10+2. But this requirement varies from University to University. In order to get admission in premier universities like the IITs, one has to clear their Joint entrance exam.

After pursuing engineering you either get a good placement or not , in both the cases there is a situation where you get stagnated at a certain pay grade and position. To go to the management levels, we need to understand management, for that definitely we need an MBA. Lot of people from the core sectors like petroleum go for MBA in Oil and gas, Civil Engineers pursue Infrastructure Management etc. So MBA is defintely a better choice. Well! I would agree with Muzahir47740 that structural engineering is professional and very few colleges offer this specialization. However, you can opt for it in your Masters or go for any short term certificate/ diploma course along with B.Tech Civil.
