While preparing the NIELIT Calicut M.Tech cutoff, the authorities will consider examination and admission-related factors. The listed factors will be checked and considered by the authorities while determining the cutoff:

  • Previous years' cutoff trends,
  • Difficulty level of the exam
  • Total number of qualified candidates
  • Total number of candidates applying for a specific course or institute
  • Number of seats available for admission, etc.

After checking all of these factors, the authorities will prepare the M.Tech specialisation-wise NIELIT Cutoff.

No, as per the information available on the admission brochure of  NIELIT Calicut, it explicitly mentions that there is no provision for applying offline for the M.Tech course. Moreover, candidates should apply through online mode only. The application will be collected online only. The online application process includes multiple steps, such as filling out the application form, submitting the required details, paying an application fee, appearing in the counselling process, releasing the merit list, etc.

If two applicants secure the same GATE score for admission to M.Tech at NIELIT Calicut, the institute will resolve and determine the merit of candidates from the following criteria:

  • In the case of students with the same GATE score, the selection shall be based on the marks in the qualifying degree.
  • In case a tie still exists, the selection shall be based on the marks in the next lower education qualification.
