Artificial Intelligence will be very important in civil engineering after 2025, but it won't replace people completely. It can greatly help and improve things like planning, construction methods, and predicting how structures will behave over time. AI applications such as automated laser scanning, parametric design algorithms, machine learning and neural networks are already transforming civil engineering methods and practices. However, AI will help increase the work of engineers but will not replace them and thus professional practitioners will require to achieve moved away from manual engineering design practice out of AI tools. AI will assist in streamlining methods however human intelligence will still be key to complex decision making.

SASTRA University offers a B.Tech. program in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Admission to this program is determined by a combination of JEE Main scores and Class 12th marks. Specifically, 70% of the seats are allocated based on a weighted score comprising 25% from JEE Main and 75% from Class 12th marks. The remaining 30% of seats are filled based solely on Class 12th marks.

The university calculates its own ranks using this weighted formula and does not adhere to external cut-off scores. Therefore, there isn't a predefined cut-off for the B.Tech. in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence program. Admission is competitive, and higher combined scores improve the likelihood of securing a seat.

For an application to the B.E. / B.Tech course at Delhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (DIET), the following set of documents is submitted along with the application form by the candidates. These comprise 10th and 12th mark sheets and pass certificates for verification of academic eligibility, besides entrance examination scorecard as issued either by JEE Main or UPSEE, character certificate, and medical fitness certificate. If so, candidates are also supposed to submit domicile certificate, category certificate for OBC/SC/ST, and income certificate for economically weaker sections. They will also require passport-sized photographs for identification purposes.
