The course, the engineering here in Sapthagiri Engineering College is a good one. Both undergraduate and postgraduate courses provided practical training and with a readiness towards industry are provided from 2001 onwards. Good placement records were found to be achieved in the colleges like Computer Science, Information Science, and Electronics, where average package 5 LPA and the highest to reach the level of 28 LPA was available. Infrastructure is improving, though students mention a few limitations concerning extracurricular activities. Generally, it offers a positive learning environment with qualified faculty members and can be considered suitable for future engineers.

IISc has a four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) course in Mathematics and Computing and not a regular B.Tech. The program can be considered to have a very large research component and lays emphasis on the basic mathematics and computer science courses. Although it is not specifically aimed at preparing graduates for industries related to computer science, the focus on research and problem solving ability make graduates of the program in high demand with major companies in the computing sector. The fees for the program are approximately INR 2,20,000 per year and in total, the fee for the entire 4 years program would be approximately INR 8,80,000. Placement details indicate that IISc has gained good placement records in that students secure average salaries of INR 15,00,000 to INR per annum.

The tuition fees for various B.Tech programs at PES College of Engineering (PESCE) in Bangalore under the JEE Main Quota are as follows:

1. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE): INR 5,00,000 per annum
2. Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) – CSE (AIML): INR 5,00,000 per annum

Buy NCERT books for class XII Physics INR 500- INR 600, Mathematics INR 500 - INR 600, and Chemistry INR 500 – INR 600 Further, you can buy reference books such as H C Verma physics INR 400 – INR 500, RD Sharma mathematics INR 300 – INR 400 and OP Tandon chemistry INR 400 – INR 500 Take mock tests which will cost between INR 1,000 and 2,000 and previous papers which will cost between INR 200 and 300. Pace yourself and try to answer between 30 to  40 questions per hour while avoiding rush while solving questions. If necessary opt for online coaching or tuition classes for INR 10000- INR 50000 and check your progress from time to time.
