Eligibility Criteria for B.E. / B.Tech in Thanthai Periyar Government Institute of Technology
Academic Qualification: The candidate must have 10+2 Higher Secondary Certificate with aggregate percent of at least 45% consisting of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Entrance Tests: The admission is given on the marks achieved in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions, TNEA process.
These are the fulfillment criteria through which candidates will be eligible to get into the B.E. / B.Tech programs.

Admission to all the B.E./B.Tech programmes of Thangavelu Engineering College is mainly through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The college accepts marks from the TNEA. Additionally, it also accepts the marks of the CBSE 12th Exams. So, generally, it is not possible to seek admission without TNEA or valid scores of CBSE 12th. Candidates should have qualified 10+2 with an aggregate of at least 45% in relevant subjects to seek entry under the following categories.

Yes, you can take admission for MBA at Sourashtra College without TANCET. The Institute accepts the scores of TANCET, MAT and CONSORTIUM of Self Financing Professional, Arts and Science Colleges in Tamilnadu. Although TANCET is the most preferred entrance exam by the Institute, bus as you are looking to avoid it, you can go for MAT. The next 2025 MAT will be conducted on February 25th, 2025. So as very few days are left, you are adviced to start preparing for MAT, as you are not choosing for TANCET.

No, if you are looking for taking lateral admission in B.Tech at Somany (PG) Institute of Technology and Management without LEET, you'll not be able to take admission. The eligibility criteria to take admission for B.Tech lateral entry at this Institute is as follows:-
- 10+3 (Diploma) or work experience.
- Entrance exam LEET.
So, as LEET is the basic eligibility criteria, you cannot avoid it. For B.Tech regular course, JEE Mains is compulsory. So for lateral entry admission, you are adviced to contact the Institute to confirm the above mentioned information as the admission policies and procedures may change by time.
