No, It's not possible to get admission into Bachelor's of Design if you did Diploma in mechanical engineering. The eligiblity to get enroll into B.Des you must have passed class 12th in any stream or have completed Diploma in design.

NIMCET syllabus focuses more on the theoretical and problem solving work of the students while BSc IT/BTech CS are more leaning into skill based and practical syllabus. No, it is not required for a candidate to answer every question on the Engineering Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE). In the competitive exam like GATE, the participants has to select the questions they wish to try according to their degree of comfort and understanding in the subject matter.
Thus, you must be accurate; do not try to answer questions you do not understand. Always answer those questions for which you're 100%sure.
