Candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any technical vocational subject. Aspirants must have got a minimum of 75% aggregate marks or 65% for SC/ST candidates to apply for BTech at IIIT Sonepat.

IIIT Sonepat offers admission to BTech based on JEE Main exam followed by JoSAA Counseling. The seat allocation is done based on JEE Main score of the candidates and availability of seats. 

There are no previous year question papers available officially for the Banasthali BTech aptitude test. Candidates preparing for the exam must prepare by brushing up their qualifying exam concepts. As per some of the previous aspirants of this exam, the aptitude test is easy but a bit lengthy. Therefore candidates must be quick with completing the exam and have accuracy while answering the questions. The eligibility for BUAT for BTech admission is 60 percent aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). For SC/ ST candidates the minimum eligibility is 40 percent aggregate. However, students who have passed 10+2 from Banasthal University itself, must have 50 percent aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.

HPCET cutoff is used for seat allotment and admission process. Candidates who meet the HPCET cutoff will have higher chances of allotment. However, they are not guaranteed admissions.
