“Opening and Closing Rank” of NIT can be confusing sometimes which is why these terms have been explained in a simplified manner:
- Opening Rank: The lowest rank eligible to secure admission in any of the NITs.
- Closing Rank: The highest rank eligible to secure admission in any of the NITs.

GATE CCMT R3 was released for admission to the M.Tech courses. Candidates seeking admission to the NIT Jalandhar M.Tech course must secure a rank between 351 and 434 for the General category students. Year-wise Round 3 cutoff ranks are given below for M.Tech specialisations:

Chemistry in the AEEE exam carries a total of 60 marks. This section has 20 MCQs and each MCQ carries 3 marks. Thus candidates must focus in this section and try to score well. Candidates must adhere to the AEEE syllabus and prepare all the topics given in the chemistry section. Through the syllabus of AEEE, candidates can get an idea of the topics, subtopics, chapters, and units to be covered while preparing for the AEEE exam. The questions in AEEE are based on the syllabus in Class 11 and 12. All the questions are of Multiple Choice Types and have four answers of equal weightage.
