Candidates will be required to fill out and submit their choice of courses and campuses in the order of preference during the VITEEE counselling. The candidates are advised to select as many preferences as possible, so that they are able to be allotted to their preferred course and campus. Allotment of seats will be done as per the candidate's rank, preferences, category and seat availability. Candidates will be able to check their allotment status online at vit.ac.in.

The institute is known to record 100% placement rate for its BTech batch. The engine cadets undergoing the BTech ME and GME caders participate in the campus placements in their 7th semester and 2nd semester, respectively. IMI Noida conducts comprehensive Personality Development classes and each candidate has to appear for a General Aptitude and Reasoning Ability Test. A round of internal assessment and a mock interview is also conducted by a Chief Engineer.

No, the candidates will not be permitted to participate in the VITEEE counselling more than once. During the counselling process, the candidates will have to report as per the date allotted to their rank. If the candidates are not satisfied with their allotment, then they will be able to participate in the next round of VIT counselling. The official dates for VITEEE 2026 counselling as per the ranks will be announced soon online at vit.ac.in.

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 102. In 2023, it increased to 118. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 87 to 105 for OBC, 34 to 49 for SC, 18 to 24 for ST, 28 to 34 for EWS, 8 to 9 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT Delhi cutoff 2023 ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering other than General category are mentioned below:
- 105 for OBC
- 49 for SC
- 24 for ST
- 34 for EWS
- 9 for PWD
While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Advanced, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 115 and closing rank was 118. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 117 and 419. Admission to B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering in IIT Delhi - Indian Institute of Technology is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
