TANCET question papers or mock exam is same as actual exam. Candidates will come across questions and test structure similar to that followed in any of the exam. Candidates must analyse where they lag while practising the past years TANCET question papers. If they find any particular topic difficult they must revisit the same before it gets too late. In case the candidates know the answers to all the questions yet are not able to complete the exam on time, they must work on some strategies to increase the speed. Candidates must keep a check on which questions they consumed the most time and which questions they were not able to answers to know their weaknesses.

There are separate hostels for both boys bad girls.

Girls- The hostels are well-equipped, accommodate over 310 students - Yuvika has a capacity for 259 and Yeshvika for 52 girls. With a centralized kitchen powered by bio-fuel, separate dining halls for both hostels and quality South Indian cuisine, the kitchen is designed to facilitate healthy living.

Boys-A fully-equipped gym facility, WiFi access, a common lobby where students can read newspapers and magazines, separate room for watching TV, washing machines on each floor, and hot water geysers with 24 hours water supply.The hostel kitchen is well-stocked and has a multi-cuisine option with a different menu each day. On alternate days, snacks and fruits are available.

NIE places importance on study and safety. Continuous monitoring, biometric attendance, maintenance of in and out register – the hostels have strict rules and regulations in place to ensure the safety of students within campus.

Previously the was not up to the mark but from 2018 they have altered the building you can call it as newly constructed because it looks like that.

The fee structure range from INR 94000 to INR 98000 per person. It's a 3 share room with wardrobe and table chair.

REC provides all the facilities for the overall development of the students. Given below are the facilities offered by Rajalakshmi Engineering College:

• Library: The college library is house in a large, modern 9000-square-foot building. On all working days, the library is accessible to students and employees from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. In all areas of Engineering, Science, Technology, Management, and General Studies, the library has a comprehensive collection of more than 52,600 volumes of textbooks, reference works, and national and international magazines, and the collection is constantly growing.
• Canteen: The college has a fully working vegetarian canteen where employees and students can enjoy cleanly cooked food. The campus is also home to a funded mess. Boys have access to a separate mess area.
• Hostel: There is a separate hostel for boys and girls on campus. There are 200 girls and 500 boys that can stay in the hostel. Final year and graduate students are provided with single rooms. Additional, candidates are allowed to use their personal computers in their rooms. The mess has a large eating room and kitchen. Both boys' and girls' seating are allocated separately.

Undergraduate and graduate programmes are available at Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC), in Chennai. Courses at Rajalakshmi Engineering College in Chennai are available full-time. Courses in Engineering, Computer Application and IT, Management and Business Administration, and Sciences are offered at Rajalakshmi Engineering College.
