There is no negative marking in DCET examination for any incorrect and unattempted questions. The maximum marks in DCET are 100 marks and candidates get 1 mark for every correct answer.

DCET is an entrance exam held for admissions into the 2nd-year undergraduate engineering programmes and 1st-year undergraduate architecture programmes offered under the lateral entry scheme. DCET is Diploma Common Entrance Test which is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). These programmes are offered at day and evening engineering colleges located in Karnataka.
