Without knowing the total number of seats and the cutoff for the LL.B. Programme at Bharati Vidyapeeth University (BVP), it is difficult to say whether a rank of 266 would be sufficient for admission. Generally, admission to law programs at BVP is based on the candidate's performance in the BVP Common Entrance Test (CET) and their eligibility criteria, which includes educational qualifications and age limit. The cutoff for the programme may vary each year depending on the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the total number of available seats. Total fees is around 1.82 lakh. The availability of seats in Guwahati University for a rank of 4000 in Assam CEE can depend on various factors such as the number of seats available in the particular branch and the number of candidates who have secured a better rank than you. However, it is important to note that admission to Guwahati University is based on merit, and the cutoff for admission changes every year depending on various factors. Go for the official website.

It really doesn't matter at all. With experiences of interviews at various PSUs, and IITs, I have came across a lot of people, who tried hard, time and again, to finally seize what they wanted out of GATE. The matter of the fact is, You must justify your stand of taking a 1-year gap. It is because, once you get through with the written exam with great ranks, what awaits you next is something, where you as a person, are judged. Once you give grounds for what you wanted, you can rise better. So, All the best !
