Process of IMUCET Counselling 2023:
The authorities are conducting the IMUCET counseling online. In the first step, the students will have to exercise registration by making a payment of INR 10,000. The fee can be paid online that is, through a debit card, UPI, credit card, or net banking. Yes, however, Students who have completed through the boards which are classified as Fake Board by the Ministry of Human Resources are ineligible to appear for Common Entrance Test for admission to Indian Maritime University. As you know NIOS is a recognised board So the candidates who qualify from this board are considered eligible for admission to Indian Maritime University, Because the basic eligibility criteria for IMUCET is has given below:
The qualification must be Passing or appearing in the 10+2 examination from a recognised Board, institute, or University with Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, with not less than 60 percent marks in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. IMU CET Eligibility Criteria for Bachelor of Technology (Marine Engineering) and Bachelor of Technology (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering):
Passed Class 12 (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subject with a minimum 60 percent average) or equivalent. Obtained 50 percent aggregate in English subjects in Class 10 and Class 12.
Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe students will get a relaxation of 5 percent but it is not applicable to the English marks.

IMU CET Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry Admission to Bachelor of Technology (Marine Engineering)
Students should have completed three years of Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a minimum of 55 percent from a recognized Institute and 50 percent marks in English subjects in Class 10, Class 12, or Diploma examination. Students should have completed the Diploma in the stipulated duration of three years.
Also, Students should have completed four years of Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from a recognized Institute and 50 percent marks in English subjects in Class 10, Class 12, or the Diploma examination.
IMU CET Eligibility Criteria for Lateral Entry Admission to Bachelor of Technology (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering)
For admission to the second year:
The age of students should be between 18 to 26 years.
Students should have completed a Diploma in Ship Building Engineering from the Institute of Ship Building Technology, Goa, or a Diploma in Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering from the Academy of Maritime Education and Training University, Chennai, or a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from any Institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education.
Students should have completed the Diploma within the stipulated time.
Students will get admission based on marks obtained by them.
For admission to the third year:
Students should have completed a Bachelor of Science (Ship Building & Repair) with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate.
Students have completed the degree in the stipulated period of three years.
Students will get admission based on the percentage of marks secured them.
The age of the Students should be between 19 to 27 years.
Age Limit: The student's age should be in between 17 years to 25 Years. Students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Schedule Tribe categories will get a relaxation of 5 years.
Medical Eligibility: At the time of admission, students will be required to produce a certificate of medical fitness issued by doctors approved by the Directorate General of Shipping.
Physical Fitness: Must be medically fit including eyesight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping Rules, 2000, as amended.
Eyesight: Students must possess good binocular vision. The movement of the eyeballs must be full in all directions and the pupils should react normally to light and accommodation. Normal color vision shall be tested by Ishihara Test Chart. Distance Vision unaided 0.5*(6/12) in each eye or 0.67*(6/9) in the better eye and 0.33*(6/18) in the other eye.
